You can print on the back side of printed paper. Flatten any curls on the printed paper and insert it into the paper drawer (Loading Paper in the Paper Drawer) or multi-purpose tray, with the side to print face up (previously printed side face down).

Optical Drive Loading Mechanism [tray vs slot]

Remembered a friend back in 1998 bought a slot loading optical drive, and had a debate of slot vs tray loaders.
So now I will resurrect this epic battle.
(for the uninitiated, the majority of optical drives are tray loaded (ie you press the eject button and a tray slides out for you to put your disks in) though there's a few slot loaders around the place)

I owned the top-loading McCormack Digital Drive SST-1 for quite awhile and while I have no idea if there’s any sonic advantage, the act of setting the CD into place, putting the magnetic puck on top and sliding the cover shut was a much more satisfying experience than pushing a button, dropping a CD onto the tray and pushing the button again. Slot loads seem to have difficulty with some sorts of media, especially DualDisc and damaged media. Also if the drive breaks it would likely be much more difficult to get your media out of a slot load drive intact compared to a tray manually.

i love slot loaders. the are usually smaller and definitely add a level of sleekness to the device.

how so? with a tray loader, the tray can break off
a slot loader is a lot harder to break...

You've got to be extra stupid to break a tray, not sure but for some reason every slot loader I've ever met has had some issues. Maybe it's just my luck
